Terms of Service

These terms explain the basis on which you may use Our Home Nest. By creating an account or using Our Home Nest, you agree to these terms. Please also read our Privacy Notice, which explains how we handle your information.

The service

Our Home Nest is a family organisation service available at ourhomenest.com, offering shared calendars, jobs, routines, meals, lists, rewards and related household organisation features, on both a Free plan and a paid Plus plan.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be able to form a binding agreement to create an Our Home Nest account, and you are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login details secure. A household may include Child profiles, created and managed by an authorised adult — a Child profile is not a separate account in its own right. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and any Family Device paired to your household, except where that activity results from our own fault.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Our Home Nest for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes anyone else’s rights;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, household, or part of the service;
  • interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the service or its infrastructure;
  • reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the service beyond normal household use; or
  • upload content to Our Home Nest that is unlawful, abusive, or that you don’t have the right to share.

Your content

You retain ownership of the information and content you and your household add to Our Home Nest (calendar entries, jobs, routines, meals, lists, and similar). You grant us the limited right to store, process, and display that content as needed to operate the service for your household, in line with the permissions and sharing choices your household has configured. We do not claim ownership of your household’s content, and we do not sell it.

Optional third-party connections

Some features are optional and connect to a third-party service on your request — for example, connecting Google Calendar. These connections are entirely optional, remain read-only where our Privacy Notice describes them as read-only, and can be disconnected by you at any time from Settings. Your use of any connected third-party service remains subject to that provider’s own terms.

Plus subscriptions and billing

Plus is a paid subscription, billed through our payment processor, Stripe. Pricing is shown in the app and on our homepage before you subscribe. An Owner or Co-owner can review, change, or cancel a household’s Plus subscription at any time from Settings → Your plan. Cancelling stops future billing; it does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the current billing period unless required by applicable law.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Our Home Nest, and request deletion of your account, at any time from Settings → Account → Danger Zone. We may suspend or terminate access to the service for an account that breaches these terms, poses a security risk, or where required by law, and we’ll aim to give notice where reasonably possible.

Service availability and changes

We aim to keep Our Home Nest available and reliable, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may update, add, or remove features over time, and we’ll aim to communicate significant changes that affect how you use the service.

Disclaimers and liability

Our Home Nest is provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service develops. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and bring significant changes to your attention where appropriate.

A note on our legal status

This page does not state a registered company name, company number, registered office address, or governing-law/jurisdiction clause, because none of that has been confirmed for this notice. That formal detail should be reviewed and added here, consistent with the equivalent note already in our Privacy Notice.
